Tsovati Valley Ranger

He was born in the Village of Zemo Alvani, Akhmeta Municipality, and finished the high school there.
Education:
1960-1965 - studied at the Faculty of Forestry of the Georgian Agricultural Institute and graduated with a degree in forestry engineering.
Work experience:
1958-1960 - worked as a crop worker in Akhmeta forestry.
1960-1963 – worked as a forestry technician at the Tusheti Forest of Akhmeta Forestry.
1964-1968 - worked as a technican at Akhmeta farming and Maghraani Forestry.
1968-1970 – worked as a researcher at Vashlovani State Reserve.
1970-1975 – served Director of Batsara-Babaneuri Reserve.
1976-1981 – worked as secretary of the Zemo Alvani Sheep Farm Committee of the Soviet Economy.
1982-1984 – served as Head of Ilto Forestry of Akhmeta.
1985-1988 – served as Chairman of the Zemo Alvani Rural Council.
1988-2006 – served as Director of Akhmeta State Reserve.
Since 2014, he has been working as a ranger in Tsovati gorge in Tusheti Protected Landscape Administration.
Ashira "Dzio" (uncle) is the oldest ranger in Georgia.
